These terms govern your use of the Windshield Estimate website and estimator service ("Service"). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
What this service is
Windshield Estimate is a referral platform. We display a price range based on the information you provide and the typical market rates we observe in the Kansas City metro. We connect you with a local auto-glass shop in your area. We are not the shop. We do not perform the work, order parts, set the final price, or handle warranty claims.
How we make money
Partner shops pay us a per-lead or per-booked-job fee. You never pay us directly. Our compensation does not change the matching or the estimate you see.
Estimates are informational, not binding
The price range shown on the site is an estimate based on the information you provide. It is not a binding quote. The matched shop performing the work sets the final price after inspecting your vehicle. Final pricing may vary based on parts availability, calibration requirements, OEM-vs-aftermarket glass choice, and conditions that are not visible from the information you provided.
Acceptable use
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information when using the estimator.
- Use the Service only for arranging windshield or auto-glass services for a vehicle you own or are authorized to service.
- Not submit false leads, automate the form, or attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Service.
- Not use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
We may suspend or block access if we detect abuse.
No warranty on shop performance
We do not warrant or endorse the work performed by any partner shop. Any warranty, workmanship assurance, or service agreement is between you and the shop. We screen shops for licensure, insurance, warranty representations, and customer-review standards before they enter our network — but screening is not a promise of any particular outcome.
Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WINDSHIELD ESTIMATE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WINDSHIELD ESTIMATE'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US$100). WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR LOSS OF BUSINESS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Windshield Estimate harmless from any claim arising out of your use of the Service or your interactions with a partner shop, except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Mandatory arbitration. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Johnson County, Kansas, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court in their local jurisdiction.
Class-action waiver. You and Windshield Estimate agree that any dispute will be brought only in an individual capacity, not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may not preside over any form of class or representative proceeding.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
