Heads-up display (HUD)?

Does a small holographic readout — speed, navigation arrows, or alerts — appear projected onto your windshield in front of the steering wheel? HUD-equipped vehicles need HUD-compatible glass, which costs more.

Do your windshield wipers turn on automatically when water hits the glass — without you flipping a switch? Look on your wiper stalk for an “AUTO” setting. Common on premium trims of most modern vehicles.

Heated wiper park (or heated windshield)?

Two related features. Heated wiper park is the common one: a 4–6 inch strip of heating elements at the bottom of the glass where the wipers rest, so they don't freeze to the windshield. Heated windshield (full-grid heating across the whole glass) is rare and mostly found on Range Rover / Land Rover. Either counts. Look for thin horizontal lines at the bottom edge of your windshield, or a separate "front defroster" button on your dash.
